Answer: Option A

Solution(By Examveda Team)

The holes at the base of sorghum peduncle are due to Chilo partellus.
Chilo partellus, the spotted stalk borer or spotted stem borer, is a moth in the family of Crambidae. C. partellus attacks several grass species which can be both cultivated and wild. Cultivated crop hosts include but are not limited to maize, sorghum, pearl millet, rice and sugarcane.
The first indication of stem borer infestation is the appearance of small elongated windows or round holes due to feeding by the young larvae. These damage symptoms on the leaves appear in 15 to 25 days old crops.
