The length and width of a rectangular park are in the ratio 5:3 and it's perimeter is 128m. find the area of the park
Solution(By Examveda Team)
960Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+w)
Given length and width in ration 5:3
Therefore l=5x and w=3x.
2(5x+3x)=128
2(8x) =128
16x = 128
x=8
l = 5*8 = 40 and w= 3*8 = 24.
Area of rectangle = l*w = 40*24 = 960.
