The price of a computer decreased by 10% last year and increased by 20% this year. find the percentage change in the price of the computer in the 2 years

Solution (By Examveda Team)

Let the a beginning of the year price is Rs 100
At the end of first year = Rs 90
At the end of second year = Rs 90 + Rs 18 = 108
So percentage change in the price of the computer in the 2 years = 108/100 - 1 = 8%
