The state government has announced to pay an incentive of 1000 Rupees to every woman, who opted to deliver child at government health facilities under Mata Kaushalya Kalyan Scheme. This scheme initiated in 2011 had resulted in encouraging women to go for institutional deliveries, which helped in saving the life of the mother and child. Apart from Mata Kaushalya Scheme, pregnant women from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families are also paid a cash incentives of 600 Rupees under Janani Suraksha Yojana of the National Rural Health Mission.
