The temple built in the third decade of the 20^th century and its foundation stone was laid by one of the greatest reformers and political leaders of resurgent India, Madan Mohan Malaviya.

Durgiana Temple was inaugurated by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. It arises from the centre of the small lake called Durgiana and is covered with the beautiful canopies and the central dome is constructed in the form of a Sikh Temple. It is located in Amritsar and was constructed in 1921.
