Veil is a piece of cloth worn over the head and sometimes face, normally associated with women and brides. To veil something is to obscure it or hide it, as a veil does.

Vale

Vale is a valley, also a common township name in Wales. It is a long depression in the surface of the land and usually contains a river.

"Let us visit a rich, lush vale of meadows and blossoms, in these holidays."

Wail

To Wail means to make a long, high cry, usually because of pain or sadness; to complain loudly or strongly.

"The women gathered around the coffin and began to wail,as was the custom in the region."

"The thieves were frightened by the wail of the police sirens."

"Business people wailed that their trade would be ruined."
