The Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (also called Sasan Gir) is a wildlife sanctuary and forest located at Talala Gir, Gujarat. It is the only known habitat of the Asiatic Lion. Established in 1965, it is part of the Khathiar-Gir dry deciduous forests ecosystem.
