Gurdwara Shri Tarn Taran Sahib is situated 24 km South of the city of Amritsar in Tarn Taran district. It was built by the Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru. The Guru used to run a home for the leprosy patients in the place. Similar to the Golden Temple, the Tarn Taran Gurdwara is surrounded by a Sarovar or lake, which is believed to have magical healing powers.
