The Martand Canal takes its water from the river Lidder at Ganeshpora, Kashmir. It is the oldest canal in Kashmir and was constructed in 8^th Century AD. It is about 50 km long and irrigates about 9500 acre of land around Matan, Dichhanpur, Khavapura and Anantnag.
