    The answer D) ordinary water is wrong. The moderator used in nuclear reactor are Graphite & Heavy water(D2O)

    Control rod is used to control the chain reaction by absorbing neutron produce in a chain reaction .ex boron , cobalt
    Moderator is used in a chain reaction to moderate or slow down the producing neutron. ex graphite , heavy water.
