The Teesta river originates from the Zemu glacier of the Himalayas and is joined by the Lachin river at Tibet, Lochang river at Sikkim and Great Rangeet river at Darjeeling then it flows Southwards through Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar. Torsa river originates from the Chumbi valley in Tibet and flows into Bhutan. It enters India in Coochbehar district of West Bengal.
