Maj Gen K. P. Candeth (Kunhiraman Palat Candeth) is the first Governor of Goa from 19^th December 1961 to 6^th June 1962. Lieutenant General Kunhiraman Palat Candeth was a senior army officer in the Indian Army who played a commanding role in Liberation of Goa from Portuguese control in 1961.
