Kalapahad (Black Mountain) was the title of a Mughal governor Sultan Sulaiman Karrani of Bengal's Iconoclast Muslim general. He was Rajiv Lochan Ray, a hindu brahmin and an Oriya commander of Gajapati Mukundadeva, the final monarch of the Kalinga-Utkala dynasty, who converted to Islam, according to some historical documents.
