    Solution

    Power loss in a resistor (P) =I2.R

    Where, I is the current

    R is the resistance

    P is the power loss. Always power loss in a resistor takes place in the form of heat energy.

    Given Resistance = 3.3 KΩ

    Power loss = 0.25 Watt

    0.25=I2×3300

    Current i=√(0.25/3300)=8.7 mA
