Chipsona is one of the best varieties of potatoes and is most commonly used in making chips and French fries. It is further subdivided into two categories Kufri chipsona-1 and Kufri chipsona-3.
This variety is for growing in north Indian Plains. It shows medium maturity with high dry matter and a low level of reducing sugars and phenols. Most importantly it is resistant to late blight.
