David is going to . . . . . . . . cinema but his father is going to . . . . . . . . church.

A. the, no article

B. the, the

C. no article, the

D. no article, no article

Answer: Option A

Solution (By Examveda Team)

Generally, we use "the" before "cinema" because it's a specific place people go for entertainment.
David is going to a specific cinema, so we use "the cinema".

However, "church" is a bit different. We often use "church" without "the" when referring to it as a place of worship or religious activity.
David's father is going to church for religious reasons, so we use "no article".

Therefore, the correct answer is Option A: the, no article.

the will be used in both the cases as both are going with their primary purposes. the boy is not going to the cenema for studying rather for watching a movie , which is expected.

As per the solution going to church is for worshiping (primary purpose) then going to cinema is for general purpose of watching movie - then The must be used for both blanks
