Let 3.2% of 500 × 2.4% of x = 288
Then,
$$ \Rightarrow \left( {\frac{{32}}{{10}} \times \frac{1}{{100}} \times 500} \right) \times $$     $$\left( {\frac{{24}}{{10}} \times \frac{1}{{100}} \times x} \right)$$   $$ = 288$$
$$\eqalign{ & \Rightarrow 16 \times \frac{{3x}}{{125}} = 288 \cr & \Rightarrow x = \frac{{288 \times 125}}{{16 \times 3}} \cr & \Rightarrow x = 750 \cr} $$
