If the numerator of a fraction is increased by 20% and the denominator is decreased by 5%, the value of the new fraction becomes $$\frac{5}{2}$$. The original fraction is :

Let the fraction = $$\frac{x}{y}$$
According to the question,
$$\frac{x × 120}{y × 95}$$   = $$\frac{5}{2}$$
$$\frac{x}{y}$$ = $$\frac{5 × 95}{2 × 120}$$
$$\frac{x}{y}$$ = $$\frac{95}{48}$$
