If the sum of two numbers is 14 and their difference is 10. Find the product of these two numbers.

Solution (By Examveda Team)
Let the numbers be a and b∴ a + b = 14.....(i)
a - b = 10..... (ii)
From equation (i) and (ii)
2a = 24
a = 12
and b = 2
Product = 12 × 2 = 24
⇒ ab = 24
