According to British Ministry of Health
For time of concentration between 5 and 20 min,
i =(760)/(t+10) mm/hr
And when time of concentration between 20 and 100 min,
i =(1020)/(t+10) mm/hr
It is given t=9min,
Therefore i=(760)/(9+10)= 40mm/hr
760/(t+10)=760/19=40
British ministry of health formula = 760/ t + 10
760 /9 +10 = 40mm /hr
Since time of concentration in between 5 to 20 minutes.
Since intensity of rain fall = 760 / t + 10
= 760/ 9 +10
=40 mm/hr
