IMO stands for International Meteorological Organization and was established in September 1873. Now, it is known by its new name i.e. World Meteorological Organization since 23^rd March, 1950 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
IMO was formed to exchange weather information among the countries of the world.
