$$\eqalign{ & \therefore x - \frac{{99x}}{{100}} = 50 \cr & \Rightarrow \frac{x}{{100}} = 50 \cr & \Rightarrow x = 50 \times 100 \cr & \Rightarrow x = 5000 \cr} $$
