Nutrient movement slows down in dry soil due to Less water.
The nutrient is mixed with water and thus transported around the soil and ultimately to the plant parts through roots. In dry soil, because of deficiency of water nutrient is not dissolved and thus not absorbed by roots, which slows down the movement of nutrients.
