Jharkhand is home to tropical moist deciduous and tropical dry deciduous forests and the dominant plant species like Shorea robusta, Diospyros melanoxylon, Pterocarpus mersupium, Gloriosa superba, Butea monosperma, Madhuca longifolia, etc. 90% area is covered with tropical dry deciduous forest.
