Phalaris minor is a pernicious weed, which infests several crops during the winter season, particularly the Dwarf wheat in rice - wheat intercropping sequence.
It grows as a tufted annual bunchgrass with a spike like a panicle and grows up to 1.8 meters in height. It is used as fodder or forage for livestock and birdseed.
