TFRI stands for Tropical Forest Research Institute situated in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh and was established in 1988.
It is one of the eight regional institutes under the Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education and its laboratory is also located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
It helps in forest protection, forest extension, forest product Development, Biodiversity assessment, sustainable forest management, etc.
