Rhizobia are the group of bacteria, that survive and reproduce in the soil, and fix atmospheric N inside the nodules produced in the roots of their specific legume.
Rhizobia penetrate the root through Root hairs and once they get inside there they grow and divide inside a tubule called an infection thread.
