Soils with high pH are alkaline soils and are generally deficient in Zinc and Manganese. These types of soil have high amounts of calcium, sodium and magnesium.
The concentration of Hydrogen ions ranges from zero to 14 on the pH scale, soil with a pH level below seven is acidic soil whereas the soil with a pH level above seven indicates alkaline soil.
