Answer: Option D
Solution (By Examveda Team)
The solum in soil science consists of the surface and subsoil layers that have undergone the same soil-forming conditions. The base of the solum is a relatively unweathered parent material. It is a moisture and temperature sensor of the soil.In terms of horizons, a solum consists of A, E and B horizons altogether not alone any thus the above options are not correct.

Solum is made up of
A. C-horizon
B. A-horizon
C. A and B-horizon
D. None of the above
Answer: Option D
This option is wrong. It is not necessory that E horizon shall be present in all type of soil. Basically the A and B horizon combinly called Solum. Either E is present ir not. So in my suggestion. Correct this mcqs.
