Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo was born on 12^th August 1817, in Satranji. Vishwanath was a nagbanshi rajput who was related to the maharaja of Palakot's Chota Nagpur. He resolved to fight for the country's independence, but he awaited an opportunity to join the anti-British campaign.
