Jharkhand forms a part of agro-climatic Zone VII of the country known as Eastern Plateau and Hill Region. The state has further been divided into three agro-climatic regions i.e. Central and North-eastern Plateau (Region-I), Western Plateau (Region-II) and South-eastern Plateau (Region-III).
