Tikka is the deadly disease of groundnut. It is caused by a pathogenic fungus, Cercospora personata (Deuteromycetes).
It is a disease that is affecting the production of groundnut worldwide. It is carried to plants through plant debris or the seed. All parts of the host plant above the soil are attacked by the fungus.
