The first protocol to ban the emissions of chlorofluorocarbons in the atmosphere was made in Montreal. Montreal Protocol was 1st protocol to ban the production and use of Chloro Fluoro Carbon that is responsible for Ozone depletion. It was signed on 14-16 september, 1987 & become effective from 1st January 1989.
