RRB JE 2026 Vacancy

The RRB JE 2026 Vacancy has been revised through Corrigendum-1 of CEN No. 04/2026. The total vacancies have increased from 3,993 to 4,029. The revised recruitment includes vacancies for Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).

The corrigendum adds 35 vacancies for Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant and 1 additional vacancy for Junior Engineer/Electrical/TRS under RRB Secunderabad. The CMA vacancies are distributed among RRB Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Guwahati, Patna, and Prayagraj.

RRB JE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The RRB JE Eligibility Criteria include nationality, age limit, educational qualification, and medical fitness requirements. Candidates must fulfil all the prescribed eligibility conditions for the post they are applying for.

RRB JE 2026 Selection Process

The RRB JE 2026 Selection Process consists of multiple stages designed to assess candidates' knowledge, technical ability, eligibility, and medical fitness. The selection process includes the following stages:

• Computer-Based Test (CBT 1): CBT 1 is the first screening stage. It tests candidates on Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science.
• Computer-Based Test (CBT 2): Candidates who qualify in CBT 1 are shortlisted for CBT 2. This stage includes technical subjects along with General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Computers and Applications, and Basics of Environment and Pollution Control.

RRB JE 2026 Salary

RRB Junior Engineers are placed under Pay Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission. The initial basic pay is Rs. 35,400 per month. Along with the basic pay, selected candidates receive various allowances and benefits as per applicable Railway and Government rules.

The actual monthly salary of an RRB JE depends on the place of posting, applicable allowances, and deductions. Therefore, the gross and in-hand salary may vary from one employee to another.
