    Correct answer should be pd/4t until and unless it not mentioned the case of IN Plane stress problem. i. e. if it is 2D problem then answer is pd/8t. So basically there are three stress hoop, longitudinal and radial. where radial is considered as zero. That is why maximum shear stress equal to Hoop/2
