The method of soil conservation in which different crops are grown in alternate rows and are sown at different times to protect the soil from rain wash is called Intercropping. In inter cropping the agricultural field is utilised for growing two or more crops in a specific pattern. The benefits of it are growing more types of crops per unit agricultural land and full utilisation of nutrients available in field which otherwise can't be utilise if single crop is grown.
