Distribution of shear intensity over a rectangular section of a beam, follows:
A. A circular curve
B. A straight line
C. A parabolic curve
D. An elliptical curve
If the shear stress in a R.C.C. beam is
A. Equal or less than 5 kg/cm2, no shear reinforcement is provided
B. Greater than 4 kg/cm2, but less than 20 kg/cm2, shear reinforcement is provided
C. Greater than 20 kg/cm2, the size of the section is changed
D. All the above
In a pre-stressed member it is advisable to use
A. Low strength concrete only
B. High strength concrete only
C. Low strength concrete but high tensile steel
D. High strength concrete and high tensile steel
In a simply supported slab, alternate bars are curtailed at
A. $${\frac{1}{4}^{{\text{th}}}}$$ of the span
B. $${\frac{1}{5}^{{\text{th}}}}$$ of the span
C. $${\frac{1}{6}^{{\text{th}}}}$$ of the span
D. $${\frac{1}{7}^{{\text{th}}}}$$ of the span
option 1 i correct, it's maximum of 40mm or dia of bar, but when dimension of column is less than or equal to 250mm, then min cover if max of 25mm or bad dia.
Wrong answer.. Right answer is greater 40 mm cover and diameter
Wrong ans...
40mm is right
greater of 25 mm or diameter as per I.S. code but i guess the right answer is greater of 40 mm or diameter
This answer is wrong, as per the IS code specifications the correct answer is 40 mm CC minimum.
according to is 456:2000, longitudinal reinforcing bars in column nominal cover shall not be less then 40mm or less then the dia of sunch bars but columns of dimensions 200mm or less must have 25mm cover.
Answer C is wright answer 25mm
U batter know column clear cover R.C.C.40mm. Answer C is right because Greater of 25 mm or diameter(25mm
It's wrong for columns 40mm minimum cc
This ans is wrong ans
Column 40
Foundation 50
Tie beam 30
Beam 25
Slab 15
40 mm
