Let the number of boys is = 8xNumber of girls = 12x
Boys are not getting scholarship
= 8x × $$\frac{1}{2}$$ = 4x
Girls are not getting scholarship
= 12x × $$\frac{3}{4}$$ = 9x
% of students not getting scholarship
= $$\frac{(4x + 9x)}{20x}$$ × 100
= 65%
