The South Pole experiences a natural phenomena known as the Winter Solstice, also known as December Solstice. It happens when the Earth's axes is tiled closest to the sun from the Southern Hemisphere but farthest from the sun from the Northern hemisphere. During this day, the South Pole experiences the longest day light while the North Pole experienced the least. It occurs between 20-23 of December every year.
