A. 6

B. 16

C. 12

D. 14

Answer: Option C

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Let consecutive even number x, x + 2, x + 4
According to the question,
(x + x + 2 + x + 4) - $$\frac{(x + x + 2 + x +4)}{3}$$
$$\frac{3(3x + 6) - (3x + 6)}{3}$$    = 28
2 (3x + 6) = 28 × 3
3x + 6 = 42
3x = 36
x = 12
So, smallest number = x = 12
