The sum of two numbers is 45. Their difference is $$\frac{1}{9}$$ of their sum. Their LCM is = ?

A. 100

B. 150

C. 200

D. 250

Answer: Option A

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Let the two numbers be a and b
Then, a + b = 45.......(i)
And a - b = 5......(ii)
Adding (i) and (ii) we get 2a = 50 or a = 25
Putting a = 25 in (i) we get b = 20

 5   20   -   25
    4   -   5

LCM = 5 × 4 × 5 = 100
