Nitrogen is the most restrictive nutrient for rice production. Paddy plants need rice to develop an adequate number of panicles. It is very important for the increase of plant height, leaf size, panicle number and ultimately high yield per hectare.
It is absorbed as NH₄ ions form under waterlogged conditions.
