1. Copper is extracted from metamorphic rocks.
In igneous and metamorphic rocks, minerals occur in the veins and the losses. For instance, tin, copper, zinc and lead, etc. are obtained from these veins and lodes.

2. In Madhya Pradesh, bauxite reserves are mainly found in plateau region of Maikal.
The Amarkantak plateau, Maikal hills, and the plateau region of Bilaspur - Katni have the Bauxite deposits. Odisha is the largest producer of Bauxite in India. Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Bolangir and Koraput are the leading producers of bauxite in Odisha.
