Emil Troug, an American Scientist is known as the father of soil testing.
Soil tests may refer to one or more of a wide variety of soil analyses conducted to estimate the plant available concentrations of plant nutrients.
It also helps in determining nutrient content, composition and other characteristics like the acidity or pH level of the soil.
