2 (l + b) = 6
⇒ l + b = 3
And lb = 2
(l - b)2 = (l + b)2 - 4lb
⇒ (l - b)2 = 32 - 4 × 2
⇒ (l - b)2 = 1
⇒ (l - b) = 1 km
