Speed Time and Distance mcq question image
$$\eqalign{ & \Rightarrow \frac{{1125}}{{\left( {11 - x} \right)\frac{5}{{18}}}} = 810 \cr & \Rightarrow \frac{{1125 \times 18}}{{\left( {11 - x} \right) \times 5}} = 810 \cr & \Rightarrow 5 = 11 - x \cr & \Rightarrow x = 6 \cr} $$
Distance of thief = 810 × 6 × $$\frac{5}{{18}}$$ = 1350 m Ans.

we have converted them in to m/sec already and we got 6 in m/sec why are we again multiplying with 5/18 again

The distance is running by the thief is 225 meter and the distance running by the police is 1350 meter.... either you change the option or change the question to distance of police...
