Speed of Max = 40 km/h
Distance between L and M = 650 km

Distance travelled by john in 3 hours
= 30 x 3
= 90 km
Time taken by Max and John to travel remaining
= 650 - 90
= 560 km

Distance travel by John to reach point
P = 8 × 30 = 240 km
