Let Y's investment is used for T months → Now by using formula
$$\eqalign{ & \frac{{5 \times 8}}{{6 \times {{\text{T}}_2}}} = \frac{5}{9} \cr & {\text{T}} = 12{\text{ months}} \cr} $$
