Agriculture and Processed Development Authority (APEDA) came into existence in 1985.
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) was established by the Government of India under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act passed by the Parliament in December 1985. It is an Indian Apex-Export Trade Promotion Active government body.
Its vision is to "create a world-class organization dedicated to promoting India as the 'supplier of choice' of agro and value-added food products in the global markets".
