Application of 1500 - 2000 PPM GA₃ at 2 and 4 true leaf stage in cucumber promotes the induction of male flower.
Foliar application of GA₃ was found significantly superior over control in terms of different growth, flowering and fruiting behaviours of cucumber.
Induction of male flowers in gynoecious cucumber cultivars was assessed by single and combinatorial spraying of AgNO₃ (3 mM), GA₃ (1.5 mM) and CoCl₂ (3 mM) after the first true leaf emergence.
